For the Sake of Art

For The Sake Of Art (FTSOA) is an outreach ministry that teaches art to individuals of all ages. Classes cover a wide variety of styles (including drawing, painting, crafts and sculpturing) as well as  mediums (acrylics, oils, charcoal, pastels, pencil, ink, etc.).

All classes are FREE to attend, and all skill levels are welcome.


Classes for Children

For grades 1-8. Held every Monday* afternoon between 4:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. These classes are great for kids with an interest in art.

Classes for Teens & Adults

For high school students and adults, these classes are held every First Saturday* of the month between 10 a.m. and Noon. Have an interest in art or want to improve your skills? These classes are a great opportunity for all experience levels.

FTSOA Summer Art Camp

The FTSOA Summer Art Camp is a fun-filled four days (Monday thru Thursday) of hands on art instruction with an emphasis on a particular theme and/or artist. 

This year’s theme was the art of Edgar Degas (1834-1917), and covered a wide range of styles based on his works, including sculpture, drawing and painting.

This Art Camp is for children grades 1st thru 8th, and refreshments and snacks are provided for attendees.


For The Sake Of Art (FTSOA) Student Art Show

The FTSOA Student Art Show features art work done by both the children and adult students. This free event is a great opportunity to see what the students do in our classes.

For The Sake Of Art (FTSOA) Art & Wine Show

The FTSOA Art & Wine Show is our annual fund-raiser to help fund the free classes that we provide.

The show features the art done by both the children and adult students, as well as works by professional artists from around the greater Stockton area. 

The Art & Wine Show will be held in Morada, California, and ticket for the event are $30.00 each (Parents of child-students pay $15.00), and all proceeds go toward the art program.
